We recently had the chance to escape to Chateau Elan for a weekend getaway. The stunning property is located only an hour outside of Atlanta and offers a variety of activities, such as trails, bike rides, a spa, winery tours, and a culinary studio. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the beautiful property, the delicious food, and the breathtaking sunset in the vineyards.

We celebrated Mother's day a little bit early with a trip to the beach this year. One of my favorite places to visit is the Gulf Coast.

I never thought I�d be a dog person, but Chuck, our little Morkie (yes, named after Chuck Bass), changed everything. What started as a casual scroll through puppy ads turned into bringing home this sweet pup, and I�ve been smitten ever since. From his cuddles to his toy German Shepherd vibes, he�s filled our home with so much joy. Happy (belated) birthday, Chuck�you�ve made me an animal lover for life!

We recently took a trip to the west coast to visit Ian's birthplace and drive up HWY 1 to northern California. We started in San Diego and drove up through Laguna and Newport Beach, where Ian was born, and stayed a few days in Los Angeles.

Social media often fuels comparison and insecurity, but what if we flipped the script and used it as an opportunity to pray for and encourage others? Ian and I started a simple habit of praying sincerely for people whose posts stirred bitterness or jealousy, and over time, it changed our hearts, reminding us to focus on God�s truth about our worth and His work in others� lives.

Growing up, I thought life truly began at the next milestone�high school, college, career, marriage�but each step left me asking, �Is this it?� Through Ecclesiastes, I learned that true satisfaction doesn�t come from checking boxes but from pursuing God and finding joy in the everyday moments He�s placed before us. Life isn�t about the �real world� society sells us; it�s about living faithfully where God has us right now.

Our love story is more than just a series of romantic moments�it�s a testament to God�s grace and the journey He has written for us. From Ian�s shaggy-haired drummer days to a Facebook message that sparked hours of conversation, our path to marriage was full of twists, laughter, and faith. Ian�s heartfelt proposal and our wedding vows were just the beginning, as we�ve learned to pursue Christ�s selfless love before we pursue each other. Two years later, I love Ian more than ever and am continually inspired by his heart for the Lord. Here�s to living out a love story that reflects His ultimate sacrifice and grace!

Starting The Southern Trunk was a leap of faith for me, one that came with fears of failure, ego, and the unknown. This year, we celebrated lasting love as my grandparents marked 60 years of marriage, inspiring a family getaway to Tybee Island and Savannah, GA. Some moments are so perfect you wish you could relive them forever. One of mine was a surprise date Ian planned, complete with a sunset view, hot cocoa, and our favorite music�an evening so special we chose it as the backdrop for our engagement photos. It�s a reminder to savor the little moments in life and hold onto them just a little longer.

Our small back deck might not be large, but we turned it into a cozy retreat perfect for relaxing and entertaining. With clearance finds from Home Depot, jute-edged pillows, and string lights from Target, we created a versatile seating area that feels warm and inviting. A fire pit and space heater complete the setup, making it perfect for fall evenings. It may be simple, but it�s just right for enjoying the weather, good books, and time with friends.

Every year, Ian and I love hosting our small Christmas party, and this time, we brought back the iconic Tacky Christmas Sweaters. The highlight? A hilarious DIY photo booth featuring vintage lights, Dollar Store packaging paper, and the most random props (yes, including a Shake Weight). With hideously awesome chairs from Goodwill and tons of laughter, it was a festive night full of holiday cheer. It�s become a tradition we can�t wait to continue!

Christmas is my favorite season�not just for the parties and cheer, but for the joy of turning our home into a cozy winter wonderland filled with memories. Each decoration tells a story, whether it�s handmade ornaments, garland from our backyard, or little traditions like penguin ornaments from my mom. From burlap and champagne tones in the living room to our whimsical Grinch-themed kitchen tree, every corner reflects a blend of nostalgia and creativity. But the real magic is in the light�the kind that reminds us of Christ�s birth and the hope and love He brought into the world.
