Getaway to Chateau Elan

We recently had the chance to escape to Chateau Elan for a weekend getaway. The stunning property is located only an hour outside of Atlanta and offers a variety of activities, such as trails, bike rides, a spa, winery tours, and a culinary studio. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the beautiful property, the delicious food, and the breathtaking sunset in the vineyards.

We got to escape to Chateau Elan last weekend for a little getaway just the two of us. It's not often that we escape with no plans besides doing nothing. Actually, I think the last time was over five years ago. Most of the time we really try to cram every activity possible into our time traveling, so this was much overdue.Chateau Elan is only about an hour outside of the city, less depending on what part of Atlanta you are coming from. It's a stunning property. I was blown away by the interior and all the renovations they made over the past few years. It felt like something out of a storybook. We stayed at the Inn which is within walking distance of every part of the property.

There were so many swoon-worthy scenes around every corner. We curled up in lots of corner chairs by the fireplaces and windows and just read our books with some coffee. We ate at the Marc, which is located inside the winery and overlooks the vineyard. It was so delicious and perfect for fine dining or celebrating a special occasion. I highly recommend the scallops, honey Siracha brussel sprouts and house-made biscuits. We both really enjoyed it!The next morning we had breakfast at the Versailles which is located in the Inn. I have to say, french toast and coffee felt totally elevated in an atmosphere like that. In addition to Versailles which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner there are also 6 on-site restaurants. I loved the Le Petite Cafe coffee house too! My vanilla oat latte was perfection. We hit up the pool to read for a bit and then had a picnic in the vineyards that afternoon. It was just the perfect place to relax. In addition to the pool, there are trails, places to ride bikes, a spa, winery tours, and even a culinary studio where you can take cooking classes. Perfect for couples, girls' weekends, work retreats, and basically anyone.Oh, and I highly recommend catching the sunset in the vineyards. Absolutely, breathtaking.
