7 Things | Red

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a Seven Things blog post, so let’s do a little update.
  1. Baseball mom life has completely taken over and I don’t hate it. Since I never grew up in sports (we were more in the arts) I didn’t fully understand the hype. But here we are and I look forward to those game nights and seeing them in their little uniforms. I don’t know if this is what it will look like for them forever, but it’s certainly fun to enjoy it right now.
  2. I am low-key obsessed with my immunity mocktail at night. I do one immunity shot (linked recipe here) and then a 4-6 oz of cherry juice with a splash or two of pineapple juice. The benefits of cherry juice for sleep as well as muscle recovery are wonderful and I can for sure see a difference. Serve it in a fancy cocktail glass and you’ll feel like you're treating yourself and your health.
  3. Here I am over a year in and still highly obsessed with my adidas sambas and running shoes. I feel like they honestly go with everything. And after a year of wearing them, I can tell you they are ultra comfortable and hold up well. I am currently in the market for new running shoes since those do have a mile life and love the new drops adidas has out now. They’ve got some super cute women tracksuits that I might snag for spring.
  4. This feels insane to say, but I just got a cordless vacuum and it’s low key changed my life. I had no idea how much more frequently I would vacuum the house now that I have something lightweight and easy to use. It gets in all the nooks and crannies and makes chores a breeze. How am I so late to this?
  5. Another thing I became obsessed with is this Terrapin Ridge Farms hot pepper bacon jam with fig crackers and Cabot sharp cheddar cheese. It’s like my go-to snack and guilty pleasure right now. My friend got it for me with all the fixings for my birthday and am embarrassed to say I eat at least a little every single day. If you haven’t tried it already, you must!
  6. We have a few trips coming up this year after only taking local trips last year and I am so excited– but also a little nervous. I think because it’s been bit I feel a little out of shape with international travel. But I am hoping that once we get going it will all flow and feel laid back to me again. I think I am most excited about experiencing something so different than what I am used to. I love a good relaxing vacation, but there is something so invigorating about going somewhere with a completely different culture and lifestyle.
  7. It’s spring here in Georgia and the pollen count is insanely high. If you don’t live in the south, it may seem like we complain for nothing. But when you walk outside and even your white shirt starts to turn yellow you will quickly learn it’s not for nothing. Even with the pollen count being so high, I am always so blown away by how much life spring gives me. It’s like I am a new person with the sun and all the blooms. Oh am I so thankful for it not being winter any longer.
